Hey Travel Peeps,
On my last trip to Las Vegas I discovered some great hidden gem restaurants and wanted to share them with you.
Las Vegas is known for it's abundance of buffets, but I wanted something different to eat. I asked the locals where their favorite places were to experience something different. They were a wealth of information and gave me lots of suggestions. Here are a few of my favorites that are close to The Strip.
If you are looking for a romantic and elegant dinner you can go to Hugo's Cellar in the Four Queens Casino. It is not far from The Strip in a downtown area called Fremont Street. There is also the famous Golden Steer Steakhouse that is just off The Strip on Sahara. Many celebrities through the ages have visited there. Both are classic steakhouse style with impeccable service and highly rated. If you know me... you know that one (1) I absolutely love steak and two (2) it must be cooked well-done (I know you're probably rolling your eyes... lol). It sounds so simplistic, but trust me not everyone can cook a well-done steak that's edible.

A must visit for both tourist and locals is The Peppermill Fireside Lounge. Located directly on Las Vegas Blvd. between the Wynn and the Rivera. It has a unique atmosphere and has been featured in numerous movies. They serve classic American style food, but they do it so well. The huge sundae is a meal all on it's own!

Take a short drive, approximately 10 minutes away from The Strip, you can be transported to Morocco at Marrakech Mediterranean Restaurant. Adventure into a Moroccan tent and enjoy a six-course prix fixe menu with live belly dancing. It is truly an experience you don't want to miss! Keep in mind that if you are not renting a car, that taxi fare is based on time not miles in Las Vegas. If you are traveling with 3 or less people an Uber/Lyft may be a cheaper option for transportation to this restaurant. However, if you have more than 3 people, taking a cab is more suffice.
If you want old school Vegas, you should get Italian food from Battista's Hole in The Wall. It is a true hole in the wall hidden among the casino's on Flamingo Rd., where you will find traditional Italian food like lasagna, spaghetti and more. Bootlegger Italian Bistro is another favorite located on the South Strip, 5 minutes away from the "Welcome To Las Vegas" Sign. They have been featured in magazines and televisions shows, as well as winning some awards! The homemade panetti bread with Italian dipping sauce that is served with dinner is really my favorite (I love bread).
Las Vegas has so many delicious options when it comes to restaurants both on and off the strip. These are just a few to get your mouth watering. I'm actually getting hungry after reminiscing about them. If you want to experience some of these amazing hidden gems, I would love to help you!
